Mission
The mission of the Janissa Believe & Achieve Scholarship is to support an individual with Down syndrome who believes in themselves to achieve their dream – whatever that dream may be. Make your wish come true!
History
Driven by her experience raising her daughter Janissa, Elvia Salinas realized all too well how few opportunities there were to support adults with Down syndrome to help accomplish their hopes and dreams. Whether someone wants to visit a foreign country, go skydiving, or take an acting class in Hollywood, the Janissa Believe & Achieve Scholarship was designed to provide an individual with Down syndrome an opportunity to accomplish their dreams.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the scholarship must:
- Have Down syndrome
- Be 18 years of age or older
Application Questions
- Share the dream you would like to pursue.
- Share how receiving this award will help you achieve it.
Application Deadline
You should complete the application as independently as possible. All applications must be submitted by June 23, 2025.
