Currently, when military members are relocated to other states' from their home state, they lose Medicaid benefits such as Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) funded from Medicaid. H.R. 8108, if passed, would ensure that disabled military members will be able to hold on to their Medicaid-funded HCBS from their home state, without having to go through the tedious process of re-applying for a new Medicaid program in a different state.
